NSArray lastIndexOf / NSMutableArray lastIndexOf
by Tejas Shirodkar on Jun.09, 2013, under Development
I couldn’t find any pre existing way of getting the last index of an item in NSArray, so I ended up creating my own implementation.
Categories are a very cool feature of objective C and allow you to add functionality to pre-existing classes in a modular way.
After including the category as part of the build, a developer can simply import the category header and use lastIndexOf as it was part of NSArray or NSMutableArray.
[NSArray lastIndexOf:(id)anObject];
[NSMutableArray lastIndexOf:(id)anObject fromIndex:(NSUInteger)fromIndex];
Just add the following two files to your project and you are all set.
Leaving Germany
by Tejas Shirodkar on Aug.19, 2011, under Object(s), Other, People, Personal, Photography, Uncategorized
Today is the last night I will be spending in Germany for quite some time to come.
The past few weeks/month have been quite hectic with planning the move back to India, travelling with my mom who was on vacation and the GDC Europe/Gamescom week.
Having had a great time at GDC Europe 2011 and Gamescom, which got really tiring, I finally get a day off to relax before I head back tomorrow.
Really looking forward to spending time with family before I fly out to Hyderabad for a very exciting position.
The time spent here was a great learning experience and I made some very close friends while here, a big thanks to everyone who influenced me or was a part of my journey, kudos to you all.
For now, I have collected some of the photographs I have been taking in the last month or so and am uploading them before I end up with who knows what upload speeds.
Until next time, Cheers!
Europa Park
by Tejas Shirodkar on Jun.26, 2011, under Other, Outings, People, Photography
Europa Park was so freaking awesome that I hardly had time to sit back and take photographs. Silver Star at 130 Km/h and 4G’s (which wasn’t enough later on) and the even faster Blue Fire which was just pure awesomeness!
You need more than a day in there to fully enjoy everything on offer in there.
This is the second time in a row I have had to take photographs of people in action in low light.
Low light photography is hard, very hard.
Let me know how the photographs turned out! (As always click to enlarge)

VS Music Contest 2011
by Tejas Shirodkar on Jun.14, 2011, under People, Photography
I happened to attent the finals of the VS Music Contest 2011, which is a local music contest held in Vilingen Schwenningen annually.
The finalists were Lotus Theory, Blackslash, Audible Mind and Cold Hearted Sisters (Winning order). All of these are from nearby cities in Baden Wurtmeberg.
Luckily I had my camera along with me and these are some decent shots I managed to get. I wonder how concert photographers get such good photos in usually not so good lighting!
P.S. After giving away my kit lens, it seems like I need a new wide angle lens.

Fasnet 2011
by Tejas Shirodkar on Apr.10, 2011, under Other, People, Photography
All these photographs are from the parade on the last day of Fasnet 2011 in Villingen. Fasnet is one week in the year when all of Villingen goes crazy and does something they probably should be doing all year round, party hard!!!

If you have reached this far it would be great as a small exercise to hit the comment button and write down the top 5 photographs that you liked!

Server changes and website issues
by Tejas Shirodkar on Feb.19, 2011, under Development, Uncategorized
A couple of days back I received an email from my hosting provider that they were making changes to the PHP servers and how they host the sites. This was after I found out that half of my site was broken because of those changes. Even though I have fixed most of the issues, it would be great if anyone who finds something broken would inform me of it!
October 2010

After writing the last post, I was kind of filled with guilt at not having posted some photographs in quite some time.
The most major reason being a little lack of time and my skills going from bad to worse 😀
In any case I picked up a couple I thought I could post here and here they are.
